Eccentric reducers keep one side of the bore flat, useful on horizontal lines where trapped air or sediment needs a clear path toward drain valves. These fittings go into chemical processing units, fertiliser plants, pharmaceutical batch reactors and effluent treatment lines. The lining resin complies with ASTM D1457 Type II for PTFE and ASTM D3307 for PFA, with the base pipe manufactured to ASTM A106 Grade B. Flanges are as per ASTM A105 or IS 2062 Ductile Iron Variants as per ASTM A536 Grade 60-40-18. The tensile strength of the PTFE layer is of the order of 20 - 25 MPa. The lining is designed for continuous service from -200°C to 260°C depending upon operating pressure, concentration of chemicals and service conditions. The lining provides resistance to acids, alkalis, and specified solvents, with chemical compatibility dependent on concentration and operating temperature.

Dimensional Standards Of Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene Lined Eccentric Reducers :

Dimensions follow the applicable dimensional standard, with DIN, JIS, or BS flange drilling available according to the specified project requirements. Sizes cover 15 mm (1/2") through 300 mm (12") nominal bore, with reducing ratios set against the line schedule submitted by the client. A fixed flange is the standard supply condition, though loose flanges go out on request for sites that need rotational alignment during erection. The surface finish on the PTFE layer stays under 0.5 micron Ra, which limits scaling in slurry and particulate service. MS PFA Lined Eccentric Reducer stock covers Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 wall thicknesses, with custom lining thickness that can be supplied against an approved drawing. Pre-dispatch testing includes spark testing at 15 kV to check lining integrity, along with hydrostatic pressure testing according to the applicable pressure and flange requirements.

Material of Construction :

A) Reducers & Reducing flanges are from PTFE & as per Standard resin spec. ASTM D 1457 TYPE II & ASTM D-4894 & 5 type-II.
B) Fabricated from Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe as per ASTM-A-106 Gr, B & Flanges confirms to ASTM A-105 OR IS 2062 OR Ductile Cast Iron confirms to ASTM A-395 or SG Iron confirms to ASTM A-536 (60-40-18).
C) Reducers are being supplied with fixed flanges. However it can be Supplied with loose Flanges as per individual customer's requirement.
D) GTPL offers SS fittings as per individual customer's requirement.
